Prediction of post-tracheostomy mortality

This retrospective study analyzes patients undergoing bedside percutaneous tracheostomy in two Argentine hospitals.

Using a Random Forest model, a predictive model was developed to estimate the probability of mortality within 21 days after the procedure.

Integration of this model into digital clinical support systems could improve medical decision-making and optimize outcomes in patients undergoing tracheostomy .
