ECO-Weaning Project
The extubation process in critical patients is a key moment that can determine their recovery or generate complications.
This international multicenter study seeks to generate a model to predict extubation failure by using ultrasound as a monitoring tool.
Using an observational design, we analyzed multiple clinical and ultrasound factors to create a robust predictive model that can be used in different health centers.
Our goal is to optimize medical decision-making and reduce the rate of failed extubations, thereby improving the care of critically ill patients.
