MBL bacteremias
Metallo-Beta-Lactamase (MBL) bacteremias are serious infections caused by bacteria resistant to multiple antibiotics. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of Ceftazidime-Avibactam + Aztreonam compared to Other Alternative Antibiotics in improving patient survival, and reducing clinical failure and the occurrence of adverse events.
Using an innovative Target Trial Emulation design, we simulate a clinical trial with real-life data to achieve robust and applicable results. Data for the study are obtained retrospectively from multiple centers in Argentina, participating as associated centers.
The findings of this study could help guide medical decisions and optimize the treatment of these complex infections.
